Giver movie vs Giver book

    The Giver    

I think that the movie was better in my opinion. Many may disagree but this is my reasoning why I think that the movie was better that the book. First off the movie had more action and suspense, and a bit of a plot twist. In the movie we got  to see more interactions between Fiona, Jonas and Asher and it gave us a bit more of help in understanding the things they describe in the book with a better visualisation of the writer intended to describe. This is why my opinion is that the movie is way better than the book.

    The interactions with Jonas and Fiona were  better planned out and made the story a little bit more interesting than it was already. Giving us a better view of why would Jonas fall for her. It also gave a slightly bit more of a character development for Fiona and Asher too, which In many people's opinion is very important to have a character development and not just have a character as a plot filler. Also the interactions the characters Fiona and Jonas had more comic relief or made the plot a bit more interesting to people who usually don't like this gender of book get interested with the movie.

     Like i said before there's a grand amount of people who don't like this type gender or don't like to read. I feel that with action, suspense, and romance give the reader like me more of an intrigue towards the movie vs the actual Giver book. It has a little bit of everything for the viewers but still keeping  as close to the story line but with some modifications along the way with small plot twist but it does not ruin the sense of the actual story line. Like in the book there was no action at all there was a little bit of suspense with the realising but in the movie theres was more action with the punch Jonas gave to Asher.

    Last but not least the movie gives a better understanding of what the writer was trying to describe in the story. For example how the ceremony looked like in the beginning of the story and the ceremony of the lost. For me I couldn't really visualise those thing or most the things in the book really so this actually help me visualise many thing a lot better than in mine.Also It was interesting to know how the actual writer of this book visualised the giver because for me the giver totally different from i imagine him i imaged him more the character snow from the hunger games.For some people this reasons is not good because it “ruins” how other people see the book, but  i think it's a splendid since it's hard to visualise the story if there's thing we never seen and we end up imagining something the writer dint intend to or dint want the reader to imagine.

This are the reasons I  believe The Giver movie is better than The giver book.

In the story ,"The Landscape of memory"It tells that all over history humans have had some extreme memories but its not always a blessing but a curse.I can see why people may oh wow that must cool too be able remember everything I think it seems more like torture.will some day come were we can make are minds remember  everything?

Both stories,"The Pedestrian ,and The forecast " talk about how in alternative future all leaving beans are pretty much controlled by the technology of the time. It seems like that that future could never happen but with the advancement of technology y now a days it could be are future, huh.How come so many are able to think about such similiar topics?

Jonas has finally made it to a hill in which he faces with the struggles of gravity with his bike and trying to maintain both him and Gabe warm. They totally either died or fainted/passed out and a family will find well i least imagine that. Did  they die or is it like they pass out and get rescued?

Jonas has been told that where going to release Gabe so Jonas started the plan he plande with The giver,but with out the Givers help and took Gabe with him too. Omg he took Gabe i can't even belive it the was a huge plot twist.How will Jonas continue giving memories when they run out of memories?

Jonas and the giver planed to escape the community during the ceremony so no one would notice but the giver is staying for a really good reason. Why can't the giver go with Jonas like I wish they would.Is Jonas going to take Gabe?

Jonas was wondering about release when he ask the giver so the giver made him watch what happen in a release ceremony. Omg the poor child what a horrendous thing why such a terrible thing to let people go.Is Gabe going to go trough that processes?

Jonas is now reacting to games diffferently and starting to loose those friends beacuse of that.I feel bad for Jonas no one understands him and beacuse of that he is loosing his friends.Is he going to be able to handle the job?

Jonas was curius about the giver's fave memories so he asked him, to his surprise it was a christmas memory involving the feeling of love.They dont have christmas just wow thats sad.Do they even know about any celebrations ?

Jonas was taking care of Gabe when he started crying and he accedently gave part of his memory of the sailboat on the lake.Omg the baby has that genectiv thing in were he can see beyond.If he the baby turns out to be the new genectic thing what is going to happen to the giver?

Jonas is trying hard not to brake the rules of talking about what happens in  his training so tries to give memories away to family members and Asher but fails.Its not hard to keep secrets about stuff he learns right. Will we ever know what actually happened with last receiver?

Jonas has continued to see the weird glimps of change in stuff like fionas hair but what it was the color red.Omg they dont see color anymore what and nor they see sunshine from the sky just wow i could never be able to live here.Who was the first recevir and how did this job come to be?

Jonas is now at the were he is sopposed to meet the last giver and as he enters he rilise many things and starts to begin by first learning about snow.Wow they actually dont have an idea of anything before were they live.How is the memories sopposed to pass on the memories

Finally the moment I been wating for its Jonas time to up toget his assiment but they skip them but actually they saved best for last he is now studiying for The Recevir.Yes finally the book tells us what Jonas job is but I dont understand what a recevir is I thought that was a spot in Baseball.What is a recevir in this story?

Jonas is now at the first day of the ceremony not really happens but the day 2 happens and starts explaining each and every  ceremony would include but his job has not been announced. OK so I'm so really angry that the book keeps leaving me in suspense  i want to know what job Jonas gets.I whant to know what job he will get and if he gets married with Fiona.

Jonas went with his friend Asher to the old people homes and did volunteer hours in that is where we find that Jonas likes a female named Fiona. OK I'm really confused about the whole like location/envierment  is like in inclosed location that is go's on my brain during the whole chapter.How many rules are there tho and how can people remeber them?

Jonas is an 11 and he was almost a 12 since that was the last ceramony where he will recive his Assiment which he is worried.I was very interrested while reading the giver it did have me wondering what was going to happen during the ceremony until the end.I am wondering what will be the assiment he will get?

Utopian cities...

I read 10 Failed Utopian Cities That Influenced the Future.It was about how some people actually tried to do the utopian future back the but failed but inspired something. Im actually impressed that someone or even more just one person tried to make the perfect future.

I read Utopía: Historia de un «no-lugar» by David Hernández De la Fuente.It was about how even long ago we have wished for be able to for girls snd boys to live in harmony with equal rights and respect.I think girls do get a bit less respect and beacuse of less aportunities i think that,that futer utopia actually comes.

video games making you smarter

I read "could playing videogames make you smarter ?!' Which its main point was about how some games like call of duty help learned quicker and better in certain acttivities.I agree with this beacuse  as a huge fan action style game and fisrt shooter games I obviusly know that im better at knowing the consecuenses of doing somethin in seconds as many other gamers would agree with.

Good or Bad

I read 5  Side Effects of Your Smart phone Addiction by Amanda Hawkins.The author said that using your phone  constantly are given the next side effects,Text claw and cellphone elbow which equals sore muscle and finger cramping next is,posture and text neck next,is computer vision syndrome eyestrain, blurred vision, dizziness, and dry eyes,Nomophobia which means scared to not have your phone with you Phantom Pocket Vibration Syndrome which explain its self well.I think that most of these accusations towards the cell phones mostly are true because i experienced mostly all of the and i now many of my classmates have too.

 Mouse Trap.

 Judith gets a mouse trap and sets it in closet and the sound stops for 2 nights but on the third night he noise was stronger to be a mouse.I feel that this were all the spooky  things happen especially how they didn't want Judith to go to attic pretty suspicious.I wish that the next chapters Judith goes to attic.

Playing around the kitchen.

After the weird first night Judith wakes up and to her pleasant surprise she met Zeke the miller's son and got to get to know him more.I think that Zeke 1 likes judith and 2 will make Judit be more suspicious about the House and its rule of no Green. I hope we get to get some character background of Zeke in the next chapter.

The scraching in the closet

 Soon after Judith finishes helping wash the dishes and goes to her she hears a scraching noise coming from her closet after she had blown out the candle light.I have a huge feeling that the noise coming from her closet ain't no mice but the spirit of Jade green coming back because of the green silk frame Judith has.I think that by the next chapter its  going to be like paranormal activity and more scarier and noticeable events are going to happen.

Getting to know more

Judith is unpacking when she sees her mother picture and remembers what rule she broke and now is eating and getting to know the rest of the people living there.OK like i still say Judith should through the frame away like that's the only think about while i read this.My prediction for the next time i read is that this girl finally figures what a huge error she just made.

Hello.

Judith finally gets to the house and she noticed something odd about the drivers actions as soon they got to the house.I knew it Judith just know the driver quickly wanted to leave as he left the picture frame ,why beacuse he something he was affraid of.I really hope by the next time i read this Judith sees what the driver saw or felt.

No Green in this household!

Okay Judith is getting close to the house and she remembered that she was not soused to bring anything green for some reason unknown reason,but she folled the rule and left everything green except for a picture with a green frame of her mother. Okay i don't know but I'm pretty sure if I'm told to leave everything of certain colour so i just a place to live in i leave the picture frame and just take picture like girl you don't what can happen.Any ways i hope that the next chapter comes explainig who is Jade Green?

40 years old?!

Judith finds out via the driver,that her uncles house need some "cheering up " and that her cousin could almost be her dad being around 40 years or so.I like use of old language that the writer used getting the reader more of feel of the olden days making the setting just right for a good horror/mystery story.I still feel that i need more of a greater back story of her family especially of her father, uncle and cousin.

okay i like  that its based in the olden days where there are  no phones or Internet but instead there carriage and  light by  candles it gives a better setting for a horror story.I like how Judith is the adventures type,beacuse  it lets me relate to her a bit.I hope next time its has more  character development and more about the setting.
